The Saigon Seven

The scene outside the Saigon airport resembled what would happen had everyone known a celebrity had flown into town. Except here, it was a normal daily sight to have so many people waiting there.

It took my sister and I a while to spot my cousin brother and his wife with their six month old daughter in hand. I felt nothing but gratitude when we were handed french fries once we were in the car.

My first thought was to get straight home, unpack, shower and get some rest. Despite the flight being only one hour long, I was ready for a nap. My cousin had an entirely different idea. The next two days were filled with exploring the city I would eventually fall in love with.

Here are the seven must visit places in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam:

  1. Saigon Central Post Office
This place doubles as a tourist attraction.

2. Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon

We couldn’t go in but the outside is beautiful and filled with colorful flowers.

3. Tan Dinh Church

Also known as the pink church.

4. Ben Thanh Market

There is a large variety of options for things that can be bought at a reasonable price.

5. Saigon Skydeck

The view from the top of this building is spectacular.

6. The Cafe Apartment

The view from one of the store in there.

7. Literally any place that sells Bánh mì

Quite frankly, this is the best food in Vietnam.

That is it from me for now. I only spent about 36 hours in Ho Chi Minh so this was all that I managed to do but I have to say that I did cover quite a lot of the important stuff. It was an amazing trip and I cannot wait to go back.

Much Love,

Haha yeah it was actually quite manageable if you plan early to make sure you do the things that are close to each other in a day 🙂
